Another fine experience was had by the WDSC, this year, in Tignes, when our trip was blessed by fine weather, great snow conditions and a comfortable chalet. Our chalet hosts, Millie and Lorna, ensured that we ate well and had plentiful supplies of wine.

Some members were so attached to the chalet that a late start and early return became de rigeur.

We now have a qualified ice fisherman and Antarctic navigator in our midst - eye, eye, Captain! - Andy having successfully negotiated a hazardous crossing of Lac de Tignes.

This week's duck was delicious and cried out (or should that be "quacked out") for Peter to risk his neck again.
